We have an A+ Better Business Rating, awesome customer service and lots of glowing reviews but we do have some bad reviews – and we are not ashamed of them. You should read them and our responses. The bottom line is not everyone is nice all the time. Every business get jerks through its doors – it’s just part of life and part of doing business. Some businesses handle jerks by sucking up to them – we do not.
We believe respect is a two way street and we believe in being nice until its time to not be nice. We know people have bad days from time to time and that dealing with divorce or other legal matters can be a stressful and emotional time. We are not unsympathetic and will do our best to be supportive and understanding but we simply will not tolerate inappropriate behavior. And if you think about it – why would you want to hire an attorney who would bend over and tolerate that kind of behavior – just to avoid a bad review? If we don’t have what it takes to stand up for ourselves – how are you to expect us to stand up for you?
So we hope you agree that our view on this is the way things ought to be and that you give our few bad reviews their due consideration and trust that if you are nice to us, we will be nice to you and help you through this process. And if you wanna write a review, good or bad – we encourage that.

My experience with NC Legal Services were great. I filed for divorce in mid-November 2025. Things were a little slow, due to me filing around the holiday season. My divorce was final mid-January 2026, but feel as if it would have been quicker if it wasn’t for the holidays. I also paid for the expedited services, which was great. As soon as they received the packet back from my ex-spouse, I was divorced a few days later. I advise to use the expedited service, it’s only $100 more. The price for everything was great and within my budget. I did not have to be physically present for anything. If they needed something from me, they called and sent emails. I recommend NC Legal Services! Especially when you don’t have the resources to pay for an expensive attorney or lawyer!
I must say I am so impressed with the Houser, law firm. I called them for an out of state ticket. I’m in the military all the way in another country and reached out to them for their assistance. They stepped in for me and was able to get my ticket reduced. I was really concerned because I’ve been deployed and I must say I am so impressed in the manner in which they handled my case how they went to court for me how they stood in the gap for me how they represented me. I Went with the Houser firm, because whenever you call them, a live person picks up the phone from the law firm and addressed my concerns.They treated me like family.
